The very popular singer of Pakistan Reshman died on 3rd of November in Lahore. She was the best folk singer in Punjab, not only in Pakistan but other countries too like India as well. She achieved Sitara-e-Imtiaz award and famous in Pakistan as a folk singer. She was suffering from throat cancer. She fell into coma in October 2013 and died on 3rd of November 2013.

Reshman was born in 1947 in a village called Loha, Ratangarh India. She was not too much educated, spent much of her childhood in singing. Her favorite food was Saag and Makai Roti (Cooked mustard Green and corn bread). Her father name was Haji Muhammad Mushtaq who was a horse and camel trader.

She was only 12 years old, when she got a chance to sing at Pakistan Television and Radio as well. Her first recorded song was “Laal meri Patt Rakhio” in 1968. She did many concerts in Pakistan and other countries too. He hit lots numbers of tracks such as Dama Dam Mast Kalander, Hai, o Rabba nai o lgda dil mera, Akhyan nu rehn de akhyan dy Kol kol and many more.

Her songs admired in Bollywood industry too and taken a good place of everyone’s heart as well. Lambi Judai is the most famous song from the movie Hero.

She was not well trained and admitted by herself too:

I have no training in classical music, I do not even know the R of Raga.

Her daughter Khadija and Son Umayr will take over her place in coming days. We always miss that amazing singer. Anywhere she is, will always be in our heart forever and ever. May her soul rest in peace.
